In the morning I am guilty She's flying out the door While I dream, like I was before I never was a quitter, I never gave a fuck But now looking in the mirror, I see what I've become All at once Sort your life out, sort your life out While you still have time Take this as a sign Making change ain't easy Breaking habit's hard We only get a moment Then that's it we're done Who am I kidding? I'm not cut out for this Friends are all against us I can hear them whispering Sort your life out, sort your life out While you still have time Take this as a sign Time was on my side, when I had infinity Time was by my side, now it is ahead of me Time was on my side, when time was on my side

Shadow calling, did its job Gave a push and held me up Shadow calling, owe you my life Now it's time for us to say goodbye Well I survived my shadow calling Shadow calling Shadow calling, in the flesh With my eyes, on my breath Shadow calling, I see you now I understand what you're all about You're a place to hide, you're my Shadow calling Parallel lines, they never cross All this time, I thought I was lost Parallel lines never cross Shadow calling, everyday Up till now light the way Shadow calling, you look so good You talk and walk the way you should You're the perfect guise, you're a place to hide, well I survived my! Shadow calling

When we climbed table mountain Saw you for the first time Leaning with your back against the wind Jump into ice cold water Drive till midnight I'd do anything as long as I'm with you I was young, I was dumb I threw it away I thought time would make it real Not gonna lose you again Try to hold it firmly in your mind Don't let the moment pass you by The here and the now is all we have I was young, I was dumb I threw it away I thought time would make it real Not gonna lose you again Not gonna lose you Not gonna lose you again
4.
I was fine before I met you Now I'm all fucked up I need a distraction Can't come quick enough Something made of china, made of steel Someone invincible and so cavalier Heavy recovery I needed time off to readjust It must be a bad dream A year in flux I slept in your driveway, new years eve I had to be close to you Or I could hardly breathe Heavy recovery When the codeine and red wine Finally wore off I vomit out the window Of a moving car Play the piano till half past two While I sing the same line over All I want is you
5.
When I finally go Pass into the unknown Ain't no need to cry I had all this time Dear friends and fam Not a religious man I had you by my side All this time All this time Now I finally see Everything that I need Look me square in the eye All this time All this time When I finally go Pass into the unknown Ain't no need to cry I had all this time
6.
Baby you arrived You’ve been here all this time The star of the show In the valley of song Somewhere in-between Dream and reality Who even cares what’s real There’s no right or wrong In the valley of song It’s hard to get in Harder to get out You either sink or swim There’s no fucking around I will make you see I am worthy Of your song Put on your second skin Take it for a spin I can go anywhere In the valley of song Pious as a priest In the belly of the beast Baby I live and breathe The valley of song It’s where I belong It’s hard to get in Harder to get out You either sink or swim There’s no fucking around I will make you see I am worthy In the valley, oh in the valley of song

about

Second EP from Perth songwriter-producer Camarano

Shadow calling is a metaphor for our real calling. Its shape is similar, its contours feel tantalizingly the same. But a shadow calling entails no real risk. If we fail, the consequences are meaningless to us.
The EP is about navigating your 20s, of self discovery and dancing with doubt. It's a reminder to continue creating.
